MATERIAL

Blade: Made from high-quality stainless steel (55-57 HRC) of European origin. Offers excellent corrosion resistance, sharpness, and wear-resistance.



Handle: Crafted from PEFC-certified beechwood sourced from eco-managed forests in the Jura and Vercors regions of France. Varnished for moisture and dirt resistance.



Training Ring & Finger Guard: Durable red polymer, designed for ergonomic comfort and child safety.

CARE GUIDE

Hand wash only. Do not place in dishwasher.



Rinse the blade under warm water and dry immediately with a soft cloth.



Avoid prolonged exposure to water or harsh cleaning agents to preserve the wood and steel.



Store in a dry place.



Adult supervision is always required during use.

END OF LIFE

Steel blades can be taken to a metal recycling facility.



Wooden handles are biodegradable or compostable in industrial composting.



Plastic components such as the training ring and finger protector should be sorted according to your local plastic recycling guidelines.

Packaging is recyclable and should be disposed of with paper or cardboard waste.

PACKAGING

Opinel packaging is designed with sustainability in mind. The Le Petit Chef set is presented in a recyclable cardboard box, with minimal plastic use. Printed with vegetable-based inks, the packaging is as eco-conscious as the product inside.

If you have specific instructions for the delivery write them on the "Order notes" (if you want it hidden behind a certain plant, or under a chair, etc.) For local deliveries always remember to input your cell phone number at check out to ensure you receive text message updates and track your package.

Delivery schedule: Our local delivery drivers collect orders every Monday and Thursday and will have them to your door within twenty four (24) hours of the time they picked them up.

*NOTE for CONDO and APARTMENT buildings, please leave a phone number where we can reach you when we are on our way. We will call you and leave the package outside your building, our team is not able to buildings. Please enter buzzer number when applicable and any indication that package can be left with concierge or at lobby.

HOW WE PACK IT

We repurpose all packaging materials we receive for order shipments, including any cardboard boxes, paper, tissue, and corn-based packing peanuts. We use recyclable paper tape with water activated adhesive. Sometimes, plastic wrapping falls on our hands from certain vendors. We keep it for situations where a bit of bubble wrap will help better protect your product. 

We encourage you to repurpose it and keep it going around :)
